The Grooming Shop was started in 2015 by Cheryl, then was taken over a year later by Arlene and Taryn. We started behind the Dollarama and as our little business grew we found our new location at The Station.
Opening a small business in Lacombe, Alberta was a great decision for us as it is such a loving and supportive community. We look forward to many years serving all our wonderful clients and giving back to the community.
ARLENE
Arlene is a busy mom of three kids. She is the co-owner of The Grooming Shop. She always had a love for all animals and volunteered with animal rescues for several years. She worked with many dogs and learned a lot from their behavior to aid in dealing with some harder clients. She became a certified dog and cat groomer 7 years ago and she also started The Rustic Barkery all natural animal treats, which are sold in store.
TARYN
Taryn started her training 7 years ago with an amazing groomer with 30 years experience. After passing her grooming certification for dogs and cats, she became co-owner of The Grooming Shop. Her love of all animals drives her passion of grooming. She loves to better her skills with training courses and staying up with new trends. She is excited to share her knowledge with others and to continue in creative grooming.
ASHLEY
Ashley started grooming over 5 years ago, doing hands on training with the owners of The Grooming Shop. She is a fully certified dog groomer and cat groomer. She has always loved volunteering, working with animals and owns many of her own. Ashley is excited to learn more and see where her grooming career will take her.
LESLIE
Leslie got her certification for dog grooming in September 2019 then started her hands on training at The Grooming Shop. A year later she is now a full time groomer at our shop. She fell in love with grooming her Yorkie and is always looking to learn more.
MADDY
Maddy started in the Summer of 2019 as a student bather. She fell in love with the job and the clients so she took her grooming certification after she graduated high school in 2020. She is now a certified full time groomer who loves working on her skills and meeting new clients.
